with a fuel hydrolock on my car and everything came out okay. I've also had experience with a water hydrolock which didn't turn out so
good - had to get the engine rebuilt, but in that case there was a horrible
metallic screeching sound after the knocks, so all hope is not lost yet. Get it home then remove all the plugs. Then see if you can try to get the
car to turn over to shoot out the water. If it trys to start then you're
probably in good shape. Let it dry, use a hair dryer, rags shoved down in
the cylinder, etc. to get all the moisture out. Good luck.
